Sorrow Part II

A pair of Canada geese glide along El Rio de Nuestra Senora de Dolores, River of Our Lady of Sorrows, or as it’s now simply known, the Dolores. Here sunset reflects off of The Palisade, a dramatic escarpment soaring a half-mile above the river into the dark desert sky. The Palisade and its surrounding Wilderness Study Area have become the centerpiece of a campaign to enact durable protections for millions of acres of vulnerable landscapes across the Colorado Plateau.

This Special Edition photograph is limited to total production of five prints. Each is hand numbered and signed by the artist.
