About Jon Mullen

Jon Mullen’s images tell the stories of our threatened wild places. His photography has appeared in national and international publications – including Time, The Times of London, The Guardian, Mother Jones, and Outdoor Photographer magazine. He is a contributing photographer to The Wilderness Society, The Nature Conservancy, Conservation Colorado, the Rocky Mountain Conservancy. Wilderness Workshop, The Western Slope Conservation Center and the Colorado Wildlands Project.

In support of the non-profit organizations working to protect the places you see here, Jon created Ecostock, a first-of-its-kind conservation image library. Dedicated to lesser-photographed locations with active conservation campaigns, the library provides these groups with free access to powerful visuals to help raise public awareness.

“Jon has been a generous contributor of his amazing photography to advance efforts to conserve our public lands across Colorado and the West. Whether the breathtaking vistas of the San Juan Mountains, the golden aspen of the Thompson Divide, the world-class hiking around the Continental Divide, or the imposing palisades of the Curecanti, Jon’s photos provide a compelling case to protect these special places for present and future generations.”
